Another busy weekend of football started on Saturday with the U7 Yellows, U7 Blues, U9 and girls U11's all in action.
The U7 Blues played their first ever match away at Bardwell and despite a nervous start improved as the match went on and managed to score a few goals along the way.
The Yellows were once again at Home and put up a battling performance against Florence Park. Another good experience for the players, and well done on scoring their first few goals of the season
The U9 once again put in a good performance at home to Cumnor Minors, to continue their excellent start to the season
The Girls U11 continued their fantastic start to the season with another fantastic performance away at Oxford City Blues.
Sunday saw the U12's U13's and U14's back in action against St Edmunds, Hanney Youth and Cumnor Minors.
The U12's played their first ever home match v St Edmunds and once again didn't get the result they would have liked, but with their good effort and more match experience things will soon improve.
The Under 13's had a poor first half and found themselves 4-1 down with 20 minutes remaining, but they dug in took the game to Hanney and produced a fine comeback to draw 4-4, and were unlucky not to win the game. Callan O'Connor led the comeback with 3 goals, before Leighton Kimber got Headington level with just a few minutes remaining.
The U14's, playing their first game since promotion to the "B" league, put up a good effort considering they only had 10 players, but went down 7-3 to Cumnor. Harry Wheeldon, Jack Gifford and Kieran Clatke netted Headington's goals.
Well done to all the players who took part this weekend.
